Munich, October 13, 2025 – Kienzle Beteiligungs GmbH, the parent company of Kienzle Automotive GmbH, has acquired TACHOfresh GmbH, based in Wildau near Berlin, further expanding its service offering in the telematics sector. TACHOfresh specializes in the archiving, calculation, and utilization of remaining driving times. With this acquisition, Kienzle gains one of the most widely used software modules in a field that is crucial for fleet customers to plan routes efficiently, minimize downtime, and increase productivity.
Nils von Wietzlow, Partner at Liberta Partners, says, “Kienzle is a company with significant growth potential that we are strategically developing together with the management team. The acquisition of TACHOfresh demonstrates how targeted add-ons can unlock new potential and further strengthen Kienzle’s long-term capabilities.”
Jan Kaumanns, CEO of Kienzle Beteiligungs GmbH, adds, “Our goal is to evolve from a pure hardware and software reseller into the number one manufacturer-independent solutions provider for telematics fleet customers in Europe. With TACHOfresh, we are expanding our portfolio with a key product that allows us to better address individual customer needs in one of the most critical areas. Our strength lies in combining a comprehensive hardware and software portfolio with a full-service strategy. We not only support the implementation of telematics solutions but also guide our customers through the entire process – from optimal product selection and customization to rollout, data analysis, training, and ongoing support.”
The acquisition marks another milestone in Kienzle’s growth strategy. By integrating highly specialized software providers, the company continues to strengthen its solution expertise. Earlier in June, Kienzle had already laid the foundation for expanding its software capabilities with the acquisition of tracking specialist Ubinam.
Susanne Kirsch, CEO of TACHOfresh GmbH, comments, “With Kienzle, we’ve found a partner that offers the right combination of market access, experience, and company culture. This allows us to continue our growth trajectory, expand our expertise as an independent specialist, and benefit from the advantages of a larger network. It’s particularly important to us that we maintain our independence and focus on building partnerships with telematics providers across Europe, while leveraging our integration into the Kienzle Group for new product development and closer customer support.”
TACHOfresh’s SaaS solutions are already used by numerous telematics providers. For Kienzle, this acquisition expands its customer base to around 10,000 fleets with approximately 130,000 vehicles in the DACH region.
